The Conference season is upon us! In honor of Big East play starting up, our friend PJ Reilly from www.bceaglesfootball.com has written previews of both Big East Divisions. Links below!
BC starts slow, turns up the heat to roll past Stony Brook 79-61 to improve to 5-2 overall
BC was led by double doubles by Craig Smith and Ryan Sidney. Smith had 28 points, 11 rebounds
along with Sidney's 14 points, 11 rebounds. Troy Bell poured in 22 on 8-15 shooting. BC once again
started slow out of the gate, allowing easy points down low by the Seawolves. BC's defensive intensity
improved in the second half and they won going away.
Bell Milestone: Troy Bell has passed the 2,000 career point mark to join Dana Barros, Bill Curley and Danya Abrams as the only Eagles with over 2,000 points. Well done Troy!
Eagles Honored: Troy Bell has been named Big East co-Player of the week along with Matt Carroll of ND. For the 2nd straight week, freshman Craig Smith is co-Rookie of the week along with Torrin Francis of ND.
BIG BChoop.com well done to Craig Smith for being named co-Rookie of the week for the Big East for the week ending 12/8. He shot 16-16 over 2 games and is shooting 68.6% on the season.
Good luck to center Uka Agbai. Uka's neck injury has him in a brace, and he may have to red shirt. We look forward to your return Uka!
