SMITH NAMED TO WOODEN WATCH LIST
Craig was named
to the midseason watch list for both the Wooden and Naismith awards.
WINGSPAN WILLIAMS SWAT-O-METER: 59 for
regular season, which is BC's 2nd best single season in blocks, and still counting. John
Garris holds the record of 61, and Burnett Adams has 3rd and 4th place. Sean "Wingspan" Williams continues
to terrorize the paint. His block against Syracuse, turning an Orange dunk into a BC fast break was the turning point
in the game. He is #25 in nation in blocked shots through 2/24.
Nice Job to the #24 ranked Eagle Women taking down #11 UConn @
Conte and on ESPN 2. BC played hard nosed defense, moved the ball and shot down the Huskies 51-48.
RECORD START: 20-0 made BC the ONLY Big East
team ever to open a season with 20 staight wins. It was also the second longest streak of this season.
BC also rose to #3, the Eagles highest ranking ever.
Bubble watch: NOT our problem!
